StarTimes to invest $1m in Ghanaian football

Television broadcast right owners of the Ghana Premier League, StarTimes have announced they will invest $1 million in the Ghana Premier League during the upcoming league season.

This was announced during the 2021/22 Ghana football season launch. The money will be used mostly for production and marketing.

The marketing manager of Startimes in Ghana, Akorfa Banson, also announced various improvements to the TV product.

Live player graphics, augmented reality and a new montage were some of the new features teased to be added ahead of the upcoming season.

StarTimes is a Chinese electronics and media company with strong presence in Sub-Saharan Africa.

StarTimes offers digital terrestrial television and satellite television services to consumers, and provides technologies to countries and broadcasters that are switching from analog to digital television.
